In my opinion, the social media will certainly become more and more popular in the future. There will have more people from different ages join the social media such as facebook, twitter, and MSN space. so we can have the better communication in the social media. In the future, we can work at home at the most time, and have classes on the social media, dating someone. It will totally chang our life style.According to the fact that social media growing so fast, the traditional media such as TV, radio, newspaper will try to mix with the social media otherwise they will finally disappear. So in the later few years, i think we will see more combinations of social media and traditional media. For example, the editor will write the news but not appear on the newpaper and just appear on the social media. And TV station will connect with the youtube and have everthing on the youtube. Because there are not so many people watch TV on our age.
For the specific technologies will gain popularity , i think is facebook or something like that. Because everyone need to communicate with others. we also want to get more communication on the social media. and the facebook can connect with our real life which is the most important thing. It will become more and more popular, and there will be more similar website will appear in differetn country. In China, we have RENREN which is a very popular media website like facebook.
I agree with you, social media will become more and more popular over the years as it continues to expand and attract more people. And with Facebook continuing to develop and grow, it is attracting more users every day. While getting easier to use, and being available on the go with the technology on the go, that’s just the beginning.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, I think there is going to be a bigger range of ages as social media grows. I like how you said traditional media and social media will combine, I think we see a lot of that today, especially with apps for the news and tv shows and newspapers on ipads or blackbook etc. I think Facebook will continue to grow too and keep us connected. I checked you RENREN, it does seem a lot like Facebook. So I agree that there will be many more sites that will copy/be similar to Facebook.

ReplyDeleteYes no doubt about it there will be a merge of traditional media with social media and its already happened mainly with news. Television more so uses social media to help promote their show. I am not so sure social media can replace television but it will be used to enhance the viewing experience with the further development of smart tv's. You say our generation doesn't watch tv that much. I feel that is false because I actually feel we are in a new golden age of television with so many great shows on the air like Dexter, Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Homeland, How I Met Your Mother, Game of Thrones, and many others. These types of shows would never air on youtube.
ReplyDeleteI agree that more people will start using social media. rght now there are probably kids in elementary school that have it. I agree that not a lot of people watch tv now a days. people have been turning to things like netflix.
